The wheel is one of the greatest inventions of mankind, because nature has been no precedent to do so. In art, however, a further development without the wheel would have been impossible. Without the invention of the wheel of world history would have been certainly different. First, the wheel consisted of a full two-or three-piece wheel, which was firmly connected to the axle. The oldest wagon wheel goes back to the third millennium BC. For many millennia, the wheel was only used for wagon construction.
